De firma Elias & George G. Hook plaatste in 1863 een nieuw mechanisch sleepladen-orgel met 3 manualen en een vrij pedaal in in de jaren 1858-1861 gebouwde Church of the Immaculate Conception in Boston South End (Massachusetts) USA. In 1902 is het instrument door Hook & Hastings omgebouwd naar pneumatische tractuur en kegelladen en voorzien van een vierde manuaal en divisie. Het instrument werd In 1959 door dezelfde firma gerestaureerd en is de tractuur elektro-pneumatisch gemaakt. De kerk werd bediend door paters Jezuïeten.
In het jaar 2007 is het kerkgebouw gesloten. In 2016 is een verbouwing tot appartementencomplex gestart met behoud van de uiterlijke structuur. Het lot van het orgel is niet bekend.
