Newcastle upon Tyne, Church of Saint John the Baptist, Grainger Street – de Orgelsite

Het orgel in de Church of Saint John the Baptist in Newcastle upon Tyne (Northumberland) is in eerste aanleg gebouwd door John Byfield in 1760. In 1786 voerde J. Donaldson werkzaamheden uit. In 1881 bouwde F.C. Nicholson het orgel om. In 1909 werd het door Harrison & Harrison in een nieuwe orgelkas geplaatst. Ook werd er een nieuwe pneumatische tractuur aangelegd. In 1996 werd het orgel door dezelfde firma omgebouwd. Daarbij is een nieuwe elektrische registertractuur en een elektro-pneumatische toetstractuur aangelegd. De dispositie werd ook gewijzigd en er werd een nieuwe octaafkoppel op het Choir geplaatst. Het pedaalklavier is radiaal concaaf.
