Peter Conacher & Co. bouwde in 1874 een nieuw mechanisch sleepladen-orgel voor de Central Methodist Church, Saltergate in Chesterfield (Derbyshire) UK. Abbott & Smith bouwde het instrument in 1936 geheel om, waarbij het elektro-pneumatisch is gemaakt. Compton heeft het orgel in 1954 gerestaureerd en schoongemaakt. Later werd het instrument overgeplaatst naar de Church of Saint Paul in Burton upon Trent (Staffordshire). In 2009 liep het orgel met gedecoreerde frontpijpen waterschade op. M.C. Thompson restaureerde het instrument in datzelfde jaar. Het pedaalklavier is radiaal concaaf.
