De John Compton Organ Company bouwde in 1931 een groot nieuw elektro-pneumatisch unit-orgel met 38 stamregisters, 142 stemmen, 4 manualen en een vrij pedaal voor de rooms-katholieke Downside Abbey in Stratton-on-the-Fosse (Somerset) UK. Het instrument is met een concert door Joseph Bonnet uit Parijs in gebruik genomen. Bij de bouw werden elf registers uit het vorige orgel van de kerk, opnieuw gebruikt. Dit instrument was in 1907 gebouwd door Garrard, Spooner & Amphlett. De orgelkas is een ontwerp van sir Giles Gilbert Scott. De Oostenrijker Ferdinand Stuflesser uit Ortesei (Tirol) heeft het houtsnijwerk gemaakt. Het orgel heeft een radiaal concaaf pedaalklavier.
