Peterborough (Northamptonshire), Church of Saint John the Baptist – de Orgelsite

In 1871 bouwde de firma Forster & Andrews een nieuw tweeklaviers orgel voor de Church of Saint John the Baptist in Peterborough. De firma Harrison & Harrison bouwde het orgel in 1917 om en breidde het uit tot een drieklaviers orgel. In feite was er sprake van een nieuw orgel waarbij diverse registers van Forster & Andrews zijn hergebruikt. In 1980 vernieuwde de firma Cousans uit Lincoln de tractuur. Deze was mechanisch m.u.v. het Choir dat pneumatisch was en traag. Tegenwoordig is de gehele tractuur elektro-pneumatisch. De windladen zijn sleepladen en het pedaalklavier is radiaal concaaf.
