Het hoofdorgel van Saint James’ Cathedral in Chicago (Illinois) USA, is in 1920-1921, gebouwd door Austin Organ Company achter het front van een Johnson & Son-orgel uit 1875 (opus 456). Dudley Buck was vanaf 1868 organist van dit kerkgebouw en vanaf 1927 werd het nieuwe Austin-orgel bespeeld door Leo Sowerby.
Sinds 1921 is het orgel meerdere malen omgebouwd en aangepast. In 2023 is het Walker-orgel van de City Temple in Londen aangeschaft. Dit instrument zal in 2024-2025 achter het front van Johnson worden geplaatst. Het is niet bekend wat er met het Austin-orgel gebeurd is. Het pedaalklavier is radiaal concaaf. In 2025 waren ze bezig het Austin-orgel te demonteren.
