In de jaren 2001-2007 is het National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing gebouwd. Het werd ontworpen door Paul Andreu. De firma Klais heeft een groot nieuw concertorgel (opus 1837) gebouwd voor de grote zaal. Het instrument is op 22 december 2007 in gebruik genomen op 22 december 2007. Het sleepladen-orgel heeft elektrische tractuur, 114 stemmen, 4 manualen en een vrij pedaal.
