East Retford, Church of Saint Swithun – de Orgelsite

Omstreeks 1770 plaatste een onbekende orgelmaker een orgel in de Church of Saint Swithun in East Retford (Nottinghamshire). Het was afkomstig uit het Norwich Theatre in Norwich. In 1787 voegde Casterton een register toe. Donaldson plaatste het in 1797 op de galerij aan de westzijde van de kerk. In 1841 bouwde Joseph William Walker het orgel om. In 1886 werd het weer omgebouwd door Brindley & Foster. In 1939 is het opnieuw geïntoneerd en verbeterd door Henry Willis & Son. In 1981 is het gerestaureerd door Cousans. Het sleepladen-orgel is tegenwoordig elektro-pneumatisch en het pedaalklavier is radiaal concaaf.
