Johann Heinrich Ulenkampf bouwde in 1715-1716 een nieuw mechanisch sleepladen-orgel voor de kathedraal van Faro (Faro) Portugal. Het instrument is echter gebouwd in de werkplaats van Arp Schnitger, en slechts door Ulenkampf, medewerker van Schnitger, in Faro geplaatst. Het stond oorspronkelijk opgesteld bij de koorboog, maar werd na een aardbeving in 1722 verplaatst naar de westzijde van de kerk. Na een nieuwe aardbeving is het in 1767 door Pasquale Gaetano Oldovini gerestaureerd en geplaatst op een nieuwe galerij aan de noordwestzijde van de kerk. Bij de restauratie is veel pijpwerk vernieuwd, waaronder de frontpijpen. In 1974 restaureerde de firma Flentrop uit Zaandam het instrument.

In 1715-1716, Johann Heinrich Ulenkampf built a new mechanical slider chest organ for the cathedral of Faro (Faro), Portugal. However, the instrument was built in Arp Schnitger’s workshop and only installed in Faro by Ulenkampf, an employee of Schnitger. It was originally located near the chancel arch, but after an earthquake in 1722, it was moved to the west side of the church. After another earthquake in 1767, it was restored by Pasquale Gaetano Oldovini and installed in a new gallery on the northwest side of the church. During the restoration, much of the pipework was replaced, including the front pipes. In 1974, the Flentrop company from Zaandam restored the instrument.
