Horsham (West Sussex), Church of Saint Mary the Virgin – de Orgelsite

In 1865 bouwde Henry Willis & Sons een nieuw mechanisch sleepladen-orgel voor de Church of Saint Mary the Virgin in Horsham (West Sussex). Het werd in 1882 door dezelfde firma gerepareerd en schoongemaakt. In 1909 werd het orgel door Norman & Beard herbouwd. Daarbij werd een nieuwe pneumatische tractuur aangelegd. In 1955 werd het omgebouwd door Henry Willis & Sons. In 1992 volgde een ombouw door J.W. Walker & Sons. De tractuur van het kegelladen-orgel is tegenwoordig elektro-pneumatisch. Het pedaalklavier is radiaal concaaf en er zijn 2062 orgelpijpen. De stemming is evenredig zwevend en de toonhoogte is a’ = 440 Hz.
