de firma Mascioni bouwde in 2015-2016 een nieuw sleepladen-orgel (opus 1197) met elektrische tractuur, 33 stemmen, 4 manualen en een vrij pedaal in Frans-romantische stijl voor de kathedraal van Vila Real. Het instrument werd op 20 april 2016 gewijd, gevolgd door een concert door Giampaolo di Rosa.
